Thanks Mike. Having a great viewfinder is another incentive to not let the rear screen take control. I tried the X100v in the Fuji store in London a couple of years ago and was very impressed with the viewfinder - and the whole package. I've been waiting for the second hand prices to drop on the V but they never have. I'm still hoping once the initial rush on the VI calms down I might find one at a decent price. I've been using Fuji's for the last ten years - currently the X-S10.

Thanks Xavi. I've just looked at some of your posts and chimping obviously works for you.

Okay so I did not know that checking your photo out after clicking it…is called chimping!!

:) enjoyed reading this Olli. It would have been good to see more photographs.

Thanks Shital. I'm glad you like the photos. I'm trying not to post too many with each piece but perhaps I can add a few more.

Thank you for these reasons Olli!

I have also stopped chimping! It started with an exercise on my fujifilm camera. I have an X100v which has an optical viewfinder and when I first got it I got a case that actually limited me from using the back screen. I actually got into this rhythm of taking less photos and trusting with what I had shot and then only later taking out my SD card and looking it on the computer, it was such a lovely experience to only THEN take a look at the photo. Sometimes its what I expected but sometimes I was pleasantly surprised by a certain element that I didn't see in the frame or didn't notice before. It somewhat replicates the wait that you would have with film and I think there is something important in delaying you looking at a photo that you immediately take. Even if it's not several days or months or however long it would take someone to finish a roll of film. Even if it is maybe 20 minutes later after you finish your walk and to look at them in succession and with some time between you and the photo, its hard to put my finger on what exactly it is.
